Young Astrophysicists Meeting

The Young Astrophysicists Meeting at the Annual Meeting of the AG will take place on Monday, September 12th 2016, 14:00-18:00 CEST.

The main goals of the Young Astrophysicists Meeting 2016 are:

1. Networking
2. Perspectives on career prospects
3. Promotion of your field of work, especially linking it to the qualifications you acquired

You will have the possibility to present your project and your qualifications in an unconventional, not too scientific teaser (< 5min). Be creative! You may use media such as a flipchart, slides (max. one slide per speaker) or a whiteboard. We also explicitly encourage (under-)graduate students to participate!

Invited speakers will represent different post-academic paths. They will talk about career prospects in general and specifically about the value of academics for their companies.

After the meeting we proceed to the welcome reception at the Zeiss-Planetarium.

The meeting will presumably be structured as follows:

2:00 pm - 2:15 pmWelcome
2:15 pm - 4:00 pmBusiness talks & PhD talks
4:00 pm - 4:30 pmCoffee break
4:30 pm - 6:15 pmBusiness talks & PhD talks
